For the next couple weeks there are no social events scheduled - this week, Pastor Mike is at Miller Lake with the youth from IBNJ, and next week, he's on vacation. Next social event will be on the 6th or 7th of July...TBA.

NEXT EVENT...May 12TH

There's no youth event this weekend, but on (Saturday) May 12TH we will be helping out at the Thimian's 50TH anniversary. Please be at the church @ 3:00PM - the event is going to be catered, so all that needs to be done is serve food and clean up afterwards. And any money that we receive will go to our upcoming mission trip. Get your parents in on the action too!

No Youth Event This Friday

Just a reminder that there won't be a youth event this Friday night...but we will be having Sunday School and Bible Study. We'll be continuing with our new series on REVELATION, Sunday night @ 6:30PM. If you remember, try reading the first couple of chapters, and bring your questions.

Experiencing the Upper Room

This Thursday (April 5th) @ 7:30PM, we'll be meeting in the church house (96 North Oval). There, we will be having a time of worship and remembrance - marking the Last Supper and the events that took place in Gethsemane.

Except for Sunday...we still have Sunday School and Bible Study.

Our fundraising event for this year's mission trip (i.e. MEXICAN FIESTA) is this Saturday @ 6:00PM. We'll have to be there early on Saturday though to set up and help in the kitchen...probably just after noon. I'll keep you posted about specifics. See you soon!

MOVIE-MAKING (this friDAY)

In light of not having school during March break (and the countless hours of time potentially wasted doing nothing during the day), we'll be having a special day-time shooting of another STANDING GROUND PRODUCTION on Friday, March 16TH, starting at 9:00AM.

SO, meet in the youth room with you costumes/ideas/scripts and we'll shoot our second film - to be featured at this year's MEXICAN FIESTA (alongside "Quarreling Over a Lemon").

CHILIFEST PLANNING NIGHT

This Friday night will be our first time of preparation for this year's CHILIFEST. We'll be getting a few things together in the area of decoration, tickets, and entertainment...including re-filming our video. One idea might be to re-film the best sections of the last random movie we made and use that as a short film, and then record a "feature-length" film next week during March Break (i.e. in the daytime).

SO, this Friday @ 7:00PM - bring video recording equipment (with a pre-formatted disk), costumes, and ideas for things that we can include in this year's CHILIFEST.

SNOW TUBE VIDEOS (MUSKOKA 2007)

THIS WEEKEND...

We're going to be meeting at the church (100 North Oval) this FRIDAY between 4:00 and 4:30PM.

TO BRING:
(1) The balance of your registration (i.e. $95 - if it's a cheque, make it out to "Muskoka Baptist Conference" with "Sno Camp 4" in the memo area);

(2) Signed Permission Form (print out from the email I sent you);

(3) Money for supper ($10-20);

(4) The usual sleep-over stuff (sleeping bag, pillow, toothbrush/paste, towel/soap, warm clothes, etc...), as well as outdoor gear (snow pants, hat, gloves, etc...);

(5) Your Bible.

We'll be returning SUNDAY afternoon to the church.

Sorry this is so late...but just in case you're checking this to see what's happening tonight, we'll be meeting at Andrew/Daniel's house @ 7:00PM for appetizers (294 Amberly Blvd), travelling to Laura's house for about 8:00PM for dinner (249 Amberly Blvd), and finishing our evening with dessert @ the Gretzinger's (110 Valmont St). Pick-up will be between 9:30 and 10:00PM from the Gretzinger's home.

And don't forget to dress up - this is a formal event!
